The ID. Buzz Cargo is VW's first purpose-built all-electric van and marks the start of a new wave of battery-powered commercial vehicles. With a 3.9 cubic metre load space and VW's familiar mechanicals below decks, is this the best all-electric panel van yet?

Ginny Says

“The Buzz Cargo has more 'want one' factor than any other van out there. It might not be the biggest or most efficient, but the car-like driving experience, quality interior and the kerbside appeal will make it a first choice for many businesses.”

Nicki Says

“I can see loads of urban business opting for the Buzz Cargo - it's such a lovely piece of design, and really grabs attention everywhere it goes. Resale values are good, too, which keeps lease costs down and makes running costs on the Buzz surprisingly good compared to other vans. ”

How much does the ID. Buzz Cargo cost?

Prices start at £46,621 for the entry-level Commerce model, rising to £51,721 for the higher spec Commerce Plus variant (both inc VAT). Neither figure takes into account the Plug-in Vehicle Grant that will discount £5,000 from the basic price.

How much can the ID. Buzz Cargo carry?

The ID. Buzz Cargo has a 3.9 cubic metre load cube that has enough floor space to accommodate two Euro pallets. It has a payload of up to 607kg and can tow a trailer of up to 1,000kg (braked)

How many sliding doors does the ID. Buzz Cargo have?

All UK-specification ID. Buzz Cargo models are fitted with twin sliding doors that can be specified with power assistance as an option.

Will there be a passenger version of the ID. Buzz Cargo?

Yes. It's called the ID. Buzz and is priced from £57,515.

Will there be a ID. Buzz Cargo with more space and a longer range?

Volkswagen plans to offer a number of additional variants as it expands the Buzz range. It's likely that a long wheelbase model with a bigger 100kWh battery will be introduced in the next two years that will improve practicality and driving range.
