Changan's Elroq-rivalling E05 coming to UK in early 2027

​Changan has revealed an all-new small electric SUV which is set to come to the UK in early 2027. 

The third fully electric model in the Chinese manufacturer’s portfolio, it will rival cars like the Skoda Elroq with a length of 4.4m. It has been designed in Italy to appeal to European tastes and will rival the have a range of up to 280 miles. The new E06 will become the entry-level model in the range, joining the Changan Deepal S05, and S07.​

The interior of the E06 is also said to be tailored to European preferences. Physical buttons complement the 15.6-inch touchscreen on the centre console and the 10.17-inch digital instrument cluster.

It is also said to offer one of the most spacious interiors in its class, with up to 800 millimetres of rear knee room and a maximum luggage capacity of 545 litres with the seats in place.

It has much more power than the class average, producing 274hp from the front mounted motor. A lower-powered 163hp version is also expected to be offered. Its 61.7 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery can be charged at up to 11 kW at AC points, and up to 162 kW at DC stations.

Chinese market versions are offered with an intelligent driving assistance system which has 11 cameras and a LiDAR unit above the windscreen.  

Changan is one of China's largest automotive groups with 41 years of experience in car manufacturing. The company has a design centres in Turin and a research and development centre in Birmingham.
