Citroen has revealed its finance offer for the new Ami, with monthly repayments starting from under £20 per month. This makes it the most affordable all-electric four-wheeler on the market by a considerable margin. 

The £19.99 monthly cost is available to buyers who use Citroen’s own PCP scheme, which comes with a 24 month contract and a deposit of £2,369. As with all PCP schemes, buyers will be able to make a final payment of £5,594 at the end of the contract to take full ownership or hand the vehicle back. 

Customers who have already reserved an Ami with a £250 refundable reservation fee, will be able to convert their reservations into firm customer orders, for delivery beginning later this summer. According to a Citroen statement, a limited number of customers will be contacted per day – in date order – to ensure there is appropriate ‘Ami Expert’ support available, if needed. 

As Citroen offers the  Ami exclusively online, reservers will be given early access to Citroën’s online platform. Once logged in, buyers will be able to configure their Ami from one of the four versions available – Ami, Ami Pop, Ami Vibe and My Ami Cargo. Buyers will also be able to enhance their Ami by adding one of three Colour Packs: Orange, Blue or Grey.

Once a customer has chosen the version of Ami that’s right for them, they will be able to finalise their order by selecting either the PCP or Cash purchase option, and by choosing whether to collect their Ami from their nearest approved Ami delivery point or to make use of Citroen’s home delivery service for a small fee. Once an order is made, a refund of their £250 reservation fee will be made. 

All versions of Ami feature a 8bhp electric motor, a top speed of 27.9mph and a 5.5kWh battery that gives it a range of over 46 miles. A charging cable is built into the passenger door frame, which attaches (using a supplied adapter) to a Type 2 connector, allowing a full charge to be completed in three hours from a home Wallbox or a public charging point.
