Mercedes-Benz has revealed pricing details for its latest electric model, the CLA Shooting Brake, which will start from £47,750.

The coupe version of the car went on sale earlier in 2025 – the CLA marks a change in strategy for Mercedes, with both electric and combustion engined variants getting the same design and name.

There are only electric versions of the CLA Shooting Brake available as it first goes on sale, but Mercedes says that a plug-in hybrid version will be made available later in 2026.

The Shooting Brake comes with two electric powertrain options – the CLA 250+ and the CLA 350 4MATIC. Both get a 272hp rear engine, while the 350 4MATIC complements that with a 109hp motor on the front axle for added all-wheel-drive capability.

The rear e-motor gets a two-speed transmission for motorway efficiency, and Mercedes says that on the AWD model the front motor can be disconnected when it’s not needed for added efficiency there too.

The 250+ model manages the 0–62mph dash in 6.8 seconds, while the extra motor on the 350 knocks that time down to 5.0 seconds. Both models are limited to a 130mph top speed. Mercedes says that the lower powered car is rated for 469 miles of WLTP range, while the faster car manages 451 miles on a full charge.

There’s 11kW AC charging as standard and the CLA Shooting Brake can charge on DC rapid chargers at up to 320kW. There’s a catch here, though – the CLA Shooting Brake can only charge at 800V rapid chargers in its standard form, which will severely limit the number of rapid chargers you can use. Mercedes will charge you £850 if you want to be able to charge at 400V rapid chargers.

There are five trim levels available for the CLA Shooting Brake – Sport, Sport Executive, AMG Line Executive, AMG Line Premium and AMG Line Premium Plus.

All models get a 14in infotainment display with built in selfie/video camera, a fixed panoramic sunroof, climate control and LED headlights. The 250+ starts at £47,750 and goes up through the trims in around £2k increments, while the 350 4MATIC model is only available from the AMG Line Executive trim upwards and starts from £56,235 before topping out the range at £60,785 in AMG Line Premium Plus spec.

The highest trim can be had with the Mercedes Superscreen infotainment setup, a Burmester 3D surround sound system, heated seats and steering wheel, head-up display and matrix LED headlights.

The CLA Shooting Brake is available to order from Mercedes straight away, with customer deliveries starting in the first few months of 2026.
