Hyundai has opened the doors to its latest creation – Hotel Hyundai – which it claims is the first hotel in the world to be entirely powered by its IONIQ 5. The off-grid accommodation has been curated by television presenter and food critic Grace Dent and is set to welcome its first guests this week.
Situated in Essex, around an hour from central London, Hotel Hyundai is centred around a luxury cabin and features a guest suite, bar and restaurant and a cinema. All three areas have been fitted out with low-draw appliances that can be easily powered by the IONIQ 5’s V2L (Vehicle to Load) system. The feature allows owners to use the car’s large traction battery as a power source and can handle a maximum load of 3.6kW or 15 amps.
