Peugeot is aiming to boost the kerb appeal of its popular e-2008 compact electric SUV with some jazzy trim upgrades.

The entry-level package will now be known as Active Premium+ and will feature gloss black roof rails and dark tinted rear and rear side windows, complementing the gloss black strip at the rear of the car.

Allure Premium models meanwhile will take the new name Allure Premium+ and will gain Connected 3D Navigation, including a three-year subscription to Connected Navigation Pack services which includes speed camera alerts and real-time traffic updates.

Previously only available as standard on GT trim and above, the Connected 3D Navigation system includes European mapping, 3D city mapping and voice recognition for radio, navigation and telephone functions.Other subtle design changes on the Allure Premium + include the addition of aluminium-finished pedals. All e2008 models are equipped with a 50kWh battery and 134bhp electric motor that can deliver up to 214 miles of WLTP range. Supporting up to 100kW rapid charging, a 0-80% charge can be completed in just 30 minutes.

Prices for both variants remain unchanged with the entry-level Active Premium+ model costing £33,700 and the range-topping GT weighing in at £37,650.
