Renault has shipped more than 100 new left-hand drive Twingos to the UK ahead of order books opening later this year.
The newcomer was one of the stars of Renault's stand at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed, and now interested customers can now visit their local dealer to see the car again in-person.
The 100-plus left-hand drive examples, all painted in 'Absolute Green', are due in showrooms across the UK in the next few days. The cars will be delivered in convoys of 'dedicated transporters, filled only with Renault Twingo E-Tech electrics', said Renault.
Just like with the Renault 4 and 5, buyers keen to jump the queue and get early access can purchase an 'R Pass'. With the Twingo it costs £100, and gives priority order, exclusive model updates, a 'dedicated concierge service', a miniature Renault Twingo E-Tech electric model and a distinctive green Renault key cover.

Adam Wood, Managing Director, Renault UK, said: "Interest in Renault EVs is soaring, with Twingo really grabbing people's attention and following in the footsteps of the Renault 5 and Renault 4. Such is the enthusiasm ahead of its official launch, that introducing LHD static display cars to our retailers is a great way to answer customers’ questions and give them an early and highly convenient way to experience Twingo’s unmistakeable style, clever packaging and sheer personality."
The Twingo is expected to start at around £19,000 and rise to around £24,000 when order books open later this year. Its 27.5kWh (usable) LFP battery is paired with a 82hp motor to give up to 163 miles of WLTP range.
