The updated Lexus RZ electric SUV has gone on sale priced from just under £54,000, while models fitted with the firm's bold new steer-by-wire and yoke steering wheel come in at £67,795.
The Japanese premium brand launched the revised RZ earlier this year, fitting it with a larger battery pack (77kWh compared to 71.4kWh as before) and therefore boosting the range to a claimed 353 miles, and adding more power. New RZ 500e and 550e have all-wheel drive and pack 376bhp and 402bhp respectively.
Prices kick off at £53,995 for the front-wheel drive Premium, which gets 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and a glass panoramic sunroof. Premium Plus cars, from £55,595, add a head-up display, a 360-degree surround camera and ventilated front seats. Takumi start at £65,795 and boasts a 13-speaker premium Mark Levinson sound system, a digital rear view mirror and ambient lighting.
The new F Sport models get racier styling, but also Lexus's ‘Direct4’ all-wheel drive system, and a steer-by-wire steering system with a yoke-style wheel plus virtual manual gear shifts. The RZ 550e F Sport AWD is priced at £67,795 and the more powerful RZ 550e F Sport Takumi AWD at £69,995.
The updated RZ range is available to order now, with expected customer deliveries to commence from spring next year.
