Newly-launched Chinese brand CHERY has expanded its line up with a new PHEV flagship, the TIGGO 9 CSH. The CHERY TIGGO 9 CSH is described as a ‘premium seven-seat SUV’, and features an all-wheel drive hybrid power. It will cost from £43,105 when it arrives in the UK this December.
The 9 uses a 1.5-litre petrol engine with twin electric motors and a 3-speed transmission. Together, they deliver 428 hp and 580 Nm of torque – taking the seven-seater from 0–62 mph in 5.4 seconds.
The 34.46 kWh M3P battery gives an official 91 miles of pure electric driving (WLTP), making it one of the longest-range plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) currently on sale, and slotting it into the lower 6% BIK rate for company car drivers. Only the OMODA 9 - which is also owned by CHERY - manages more electric running from a PHEV powertrain, with a 93-mile claimed range.

Together with the engine it gives a claimed 650 miles of total range including a full fuel tank. It also supports DC rapid charging up to 71 kW, replenishing for 30–80% in around 18 minutes, and features 6.6 kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability to power 230v devices when away from home.
It arrives exclusively in one trim – called Summit - which is packed with kit. Heated and ventilated faux leather seats feature front and rear, with the those in the front are treated to a multi-programme massage function.

The infotainment uses a 15.6-inch 2.5K touchscreen paired with a 10.25-inch digital instrument display and Head-Up Display (HUD). Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 50W cooled wireless charging pad helps to keep you connected and allow you to play music through the 14-speaker SONY audio system, including headrest speakers for the driver.
The seven-seat layout uses an electrically sliding and reclining second row, and a third row that folds flat to create up to 819 or 2,021 litres of boot space.
Deliveries will begin in December 2025 through 25 CHERY dealers in the UK.
