DS Automobiles has confirmed UK prices and specification details for the fully electric DS N°4 E-TENSE ahead of its market launch later this year. The pure electric hatchback introduces a new design, premium cabin finishes and a starting price of £36,930 for the entry-level PALLAS trim. Unlike the new N°8, which Nicola checked out earlier this year, the N°4 is a heavily facelifted version of the current model. However, this is the first time that parent company Stellantis has chosen to offer a fully-electric version. 

The all-electric DS N°4 shares much of its underpinnings with the Peugeot E-308, with power coming from a front-mounted electric motor producing 213bhp and 343Nm of torque. Just one battery option is available, a 58.3kWh pack that delivers a claimed WLTP range of 279 miles. Charging speeds are competitive when compared to class rivals with a peak of 120kW when DC fast charging. This, according to DS, allows the battery to be replenished from 20 to 80 per cent in roughly 30 minutes. 

From launch, the newcomer will be available with three trim level options: PALLAS, PALLAS+ and ÉTOILE, and is set to compete against design-led rivals such as the Cupra Born and Renault Megane E-Tech. 

Visually, the fully electric N°4 introduces a bold new front end with a wider, intricately detailed black grille and a segmented light signature inspired by DS’s high-performance E-TENSE concept and flagship N°8. The new front end package is completed with an illuminated DS badge for the first time.

Inside, the N°4 features a range of different materials including diamond tungsten fabric and Alcantara. Tech features such as 3D connected navigation with voice recognition, a head-up display and a suite of driver assistance systems come as standard on higher trims. All models also come with a heat pump as standard, while customers can fine-tune their orders with comfort and technology packs that include creature comforts such as massaging seats and a premium Focal Electra audio system.

Five paint colours are available from launch, including a unique pastel Cashmere option exclusive to the N°4, with contrasting roof choices adding further personalisation.

UK order books are now open, with first deliveries expected to commence in Q4 2025.
