Škoda has added a new commercial vehicle to its all-electric line-up with the launch of the Enyaq Cargo – a bespoke van conversion of its popular Enyaq SUV, aimed squarely at fleet operators. The Enyaq Cargo’s arrival marks the first time the Czech brand has officially offered a commercial vehicle since the Felicia pick-up was dropped from the range in 2001.

Developed in collaboration with conversion specialists Strongs Plastic Products Ltd, the Enyaq Cargo is officially registered with the DVSA as a light commercial vehicle (LCV) from new. The transformation sees the rear passenger area replaced with a high-strength, lightweight cargo compartment, separated from the cabin by a purpose-built bulkhead. Crucially, it retains the electric SUV’s core strengths – long driving range, fast charging and optional all-wheel-drive – while offering practical load space for business users.

Škoda says the vehicle was initially developed for National Grid Energy Distribution (NGED), which has already taken delivery of 70 units as part of its fleet decarbonisation plans. NGED currently operates more than 300 electric vans and 600 electric company cars, making it one of the UK’s leading EV fleet operators.
The Enyaq Cargo is based on the 85 and 85x models from the passenger car range, offering up to 359 miles of range (WLTP) in the Edition 85 and 332 miles in the AWD 85x. Both versions support DC rapid charging, with peak speeds of up to 135kW and 175kW respectively, allowing a 10–80 per cent top-up in under half an hour when plugged into a suitably powerful charger.

Škoda says this is the first time one of its electric models has been offered as a dedicated LCV from factory registration. Available exclusively via Škoda’s Area Fleet Managers, the Enyaq Cargo conversion starts from £1,815 + VAT, with final costs depending on individual spec. The base Enyaq Edition 85 starts at £44,310 OTR.
