Kia to reveal radical new vans in January

Kia will be revealing its much-anticipated range of fully-electric commercial vehicles at the Consumer Electronics show in Las Vegas next month. The company says it will reveal the business plan for the vehicles, along with physically showcasing several PBV concept models. 

The Kia PBV exhibits will feature five concept models, including its first PBV scheduled for mass production starting in 2025, a range of Kia-exclusive PBV technology, and a PBV-dedicated presentation and demonstration highlighting the company’s software-defined vehicle strategy and plans for partnership integration.

The range is said to be made up of "fit-for-purpose EVs with advanced software solutions that will open the door to new businesses and lifestyles". It is thought to include vans, taxis and self-driving car sharing vehicles.

They will hardware such as Easy Swap batteries and Dynamic Hybrid modularisation technologies, digital solutions developed under the Hyundai Motor Group’s advanced software capabilities, and plans for global partnership integration. 

The vehicles will be revealed on the 8th January.
