Leapmotor has delivered more than 100,000 vehicles in a single month for the first time, shifting 101,267 units globally in July - a 102% increase over the figures for July 2025, and 8% up on June 2026.
Leapmotor’s meteoric rise has been exemplified in numbers this year. Not only was July impressive, but it’s the fourth consecutive month of record-breaking sales. Year-to-date sales of 457,754 units worldwide puts Leapmotor almost halfway towards their ambitious target of selling 1m vehicles.
For UK buyers, the Leapmotor name is already a familiar one. Their partnership with Stellantis has put them on the same stage and in the same dealerships as established household names like Vauxhall, Citroen and Fiat.
Since Leapmotor’s UK launch in March 2025, it’s already sold well in excess of 11,000 units, with 6,770 of those sales moving between January and June 2026. Leapmotor has offerings in a wide range of popular segments including the second cheapest EV available, the T03, and one of the most popular electric crossovers, the B10.
While it’s still much smaller than established Chinese carmakers like BYD, the sheer speed of Leapmotor’s growth both in the UK and on the global market is a perfect example of just how rapidly Chinese brands are scaling up.
Leapmotor shows no signs of slowing down, either. We’ll be seeing the B03X compact SUV in the next few months, and the B03 hatchback will follow in 2027. The B03X will compete with cars like the Ford Puma Gen-E and Renault 4, while the smaller B03 will take on the likes of the Cupra Raval, VW ID. Polo and Renault 5, not to mention its own Stellantis stablemates - the Fiat Grande Panda and Citroen e-C3. If Leapmotor's successes so far are anything to go by, we expect it to be popular.
