MINI has pulled the covers off its replacement for the Clubman estate car – the all-electric Aceman.
Revealed at this week's Beijing motor show, the Aceman sits between the Cooper hatchback and Countryman SUV. It's a small, high-riding crossover designed to take on premium rivals such as the Volvo EX30 and Smart #1, while also squaring up to the Jeep Avenger and forthcoming Ford Puma Gen-E.
The Aceman sits on an extended version of the MINI Cooper's platform and prioritises space inside. While the boot is a surprisingly tight 300 litres, MINI has maxed out passenger comfort with there being plenty of room for five people. There's a similar design theme already seen on the Cooper and Countryman with the interior dominated by a large 24cm OLED infotainment screen, and the use of recycled polyester on the distinctive curved dashboard.
