New Renault Twingo images leaked early

The new Renault Twingo E-Tech has been leaked on social media. Good news: it's as cute as we'd all been hoping, and looks very much like the concept car that Ginny had a look around earlier this year

It's kept the wide-eyed, round headlights that take style inspiration from the original Twingo, plus loads of modern styling cues and fun details.

There's even an interior pic, which shows that the production version of the electric Renault Twingo will keep the colour-matched insert in the dash. It's all very retro-modern, and if it's anything like the Renault 5 and Renault 4 that have preceded it, it'll be a car that's sensible yet also weirdly desirable. Mostly because it looks brilliant!

We don't know a whole lot more about the Twingo, yet, but we expect it to cost from as little as £17,000 when it goes on sale in the UK in 2026. This little electric city car is a five-door hatchback as standard and – as was always the case with the Mk1 Twingo – it'll offer a surprising amount of practicality and versatility despite being under 3.8 metres long.

The WLTP range isn't likely to be huge, as that's not what the urban-oriented Twingo is all about. Instead, we expect the baby Renault to get a small LFP battery with a range of around 170 miles.

If you want to know more about the Twingo, you can read all about it in our full preview of the car and check out Ginny's video, below.

And, while we can't tell you too much right now, come back later this week... You never know, we might just have much more to tell you about the all-new Renault Twingo E-Tech.
