Peugeot turned up the luxury dial by adding a new posh trim level, plus has confirmed its E-208 can travel further on a charge than before.
Available on the E-208 supermini and E-2008 compact SUV, the new GT Premium trim sits at the very top of the Peugeot range. It adds a range of extra niceties, including 18-inch diamond-cut black alloys wheels (on the E-2008), Alcantara upholstery with 'Adamite' green stitching, heated front seats, an electric driver's seat with lumbar adjustment and a massage function. Other extras include a 3D sat-nav system, wireless phone charger, a suite of advanced safety features, plus a heat pump as standard.
The French firm has also upgraded both electric models with V2L (vehicle-to-load, which allows owners to charge other electrical items from the car's battery), coming only on the E208 with the larger 51kWh battery pack and the 54kWh version of the E-2008.
Meanwhile, the 51kWh version of the E-208 now boasts a longer range. Peugeot claims the electric hatchback can now go 14 miles further on a charge, now up to 268 miles.
Order books are open now – the E-208 GT Premium 50kWh costing £34,000 with the 51kWh coming in at £800 more expensive, while the E-2008 GT Premium is priced at £39,310.
