Peugeot has revealed an updated and facelifted 508 range, with new styling, improved performance and improved technology.

Available from April 2023, the new 508 features Peugeot’s bold new front end design first seen on the new 3008 and 5008, plus the signature lighting system with three ‘claws’. At the rear, the new LED lights also incorporate the three-claw design with scrolling indicators.

Inside the new 508 the quality has been upgraded with a new ‘premium’ upholstery and a new gearbox control unit for improved ergonomics.

The infotainment takes a step ahead too, with a new i-Connect Advanced infotainment system. This is equipped with a 10-inch high-definition central screen, connected navigation, natural language voice recognition, wireless smartphone connectivity and over-the-air updates.

The range of powertrains available now includes a lower power plug-in hybrid with a new 180hp in addition to the current 225hp version. The SPORT ENGINEERED continues too, with a 360hp PHEV drivetrain and all-wheel drive.

The battery of the PHEVs has a capacity of 12.4kWh, with two types of onboard chargers available: a 3.7kW single-phase charger as standard and, as an option, a 7.4kW single-phase charger. This standard on SPORT ENGINEERED. The company has not revealed the range, CO2 figures or prices.

The SPORT ENGINEERED is written all in capitals to make it easier for people who advertise them on Facebook in decades to come. Possibly.
