Skoda has announced it will have three new all-electric models on the market by 2026, including a production version of this seven seat SUV, called the VISION 7S.

The all-electric VISION 7S will sit above the Enyaq in the brand’s range. The concept has a claimed range of 370 miles from an 89 kWh battery and peak charging rate of 200kW.

The show car also debuts a new design language and logo for the company, with a so-called ‘Tech-Deck Face’ and sustainable materials in the interior.

The company has saved most of the innovation for the interior however. The VISION 7S offers passengers two different interior configurations, with a rotating central touchscreen and sliding elements for different situations – Driving and Relaxing.

While in Driving mode, all the controls are within easy reach for the driver, and the central 14.6-inch touchscreen is oriented vertically.

When charging or stopped, the Relax mode can be selected at the touch of a button in the centre console. The interior transforms in one movement, with the steering wheel and instrument cluster sliding backwards away from the driver and passengers to create additional space.

Occupants can select a 'Relax' mode when the car is stopped, which changes the interior. And presumably plays Frankie Goes To Hollywood?

The first-row seats rotate inwards and recline, also allowing the rear passengers to view the screen. The seats in the second row also recline.

The position of the child seat is also innovative and mounted in the safest place in the vehicle - the centre console. This extends to the second row of seats, and the seat faces opposite to the direction of travel. This means the passengers in the second row can keep an eye on the baby. An optional interior camera in the rear roof area can also transmit a video of the child to the central infotainment display.

In addition to the 7S, Skoda also plans a small, affordable electric car and a compact SUV. All will share their underpinnings and hardware with models from parent company Volkswagen.

There's a new logo too
