SKODA has added a suite of upgrades to its highly regarded Enyaq iV, which include enhanced tech and options packs.
Customers ordering an Enyaq iV from this month will receive the 2023 model year car which benefits from the upgrades, and a choice of batteries after the Czech firm reinstated the smaller 58kWh model.
New-for-2023 Enyaqs receive SKODA's updated software which allows, among other things, for updates to the car's operating system to be made over the air. Other improvements include a revised head-up display, and navigation and heating and ventilation menus in the car's infotainment system. Remote Access (which allows owners to control a number of features via their smartphone) is also standard for three years, having previously been an option.
The car's battery management system has also been revised, with SKODA saying the updates 'further reduce electrical losses from the battery', maximising the car's range.
For 2023 SKODA has also overhauled the electric SUV's specification by replacing the top-spec SportLine with a new SportLine Plus model, and bundling optional equipment into four new packs.
'Clever', at £2,755 and available on all models bar the new SportLine Plus, includes features such as wireless charging, tow bar preparation, heated front seats, manual rear window blinds and safety equipment including adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist and blind spot detection.
'Plus', at £4,830 (not available on SportLine Plus), includes a hands-free tailgate, Matrix LED headlights, an electrically adjustable driver's seat, and enhanced safety features.
The £6,980 'Advanced' package – and only available on 80 and SportLine Plus models – features a head-up display, the 'Crystal Face' illuminating grille, heated front and rear seats, a heated windscreen and an upgraded Canton audio system.
The top-spec 'Maxx' package at £9,375 – again, only available on 80 and SportLine Plus versions – gets electrically adjustable front seats, a rear view camera, rear side airbags and Dynamic Chassis Control.
SKODA has also reintroduced the 58kWh battery model, badged '60', having stopped sales of the small battery model due to supply chain difficulties. Dealers can now offer 58kWh and 77kWh batteries along with rear- and all-wheel drive versions. Prices now kick off at £38,480.
