Electric car newcomer Fisker will offer buyers of its Ocean SUV a Wallbox home charging unit when they take delivery. The US brand, headed by car designer Henrik Fisker, is set to start production of its long-awaited Ocean in Austria later this year and plans to bring the vehicle to the UK shortly after.

To help new-to-electric buyers, Fisker has struck a deal with Wallbox for supply and installation of the American firm’s smart home chargers. Customers will be able to choose their charger as part of the online ordering process with installation carried out by Wallbox.

Fisker will be the first car manufacturer to offer Wallbox's Pulsar Max charger. It features remote operation and monitoring along with solar charging integration. Both chargers will display customised Fisker and Wallbox logos.

Wallbox Pulsar Max smart chargers will be available to UK Fisker Ocean reservation holders from November 2022 with final pricing to be announced shortly.

The Fisker Ocean will be available in three trim levels: Extreme, Ultra, and Sport. The top trim Extreme (£59,900) has a projected range of 390 miles and comes with dual-motor, all-wheel-drive, three driving modes, a rotating infotainment screen, SolarSky roof, California Mode and Smart Traction. According to Fisker, production is on track for 17 November, at a carbon-neutral factory in Graz, Austria. Deliveries to customers will begin shortly after.
