​Skoda has only just finished teasing us for months with its last new model, the Epiq, and it’s already got started on the next one, although we won't have very long to wait to see the finished article.

The next new car from everyone’s favourite Czech carmaker will be the Skoda Peaq, an electric seven seater that will bestride the top of the company’s range of cars like King Kong waving Ann Darrow from the Empire State Building. 

Our latest sneak Peaq (I’m only sorry that it’s obvious) is a design sketch of the car, but still gives us a pretty good idea of what the final product will look like. 

We won’t have to wait long to see the actual car – it’s set to be revealed in France in two weeks’ time, but it’s already been a long enough wait for the Peaq to be unveiled. We had our first glimpse of it back in 2022 with the reveal of the Vision 7S concept car, then the name of the car was announced at the beginning of 2026. 

As is traditional, we’ve already sent Nicola Hume to drive a camouflaged version of the car, and she confirmed that it both moves and goes round corners. We’re expecting a range of 373 miles, lots of space in the boot (nearly 300 litres with all the seats up!) and a modest frunk up front underneath the bonnet. 

There haven’t been any good electric seven seaters for ages, but nowadays buyers have a good selection to choose from – the Peaq will go up against the likes of the expensive Kia EV9 and Hyundai Ioniq 9 models, recently launched Mercedes GLB and the practical Peugeot e-5008.

Once the Peaq has been revealed before the end of June we expect things to progress quickly with the car going on sale before the end of the year starting from around £50k. Check out everything we know about the new car here.
