Kilowatt Half Hour podcast: Big Brother, fancy new Mercs and why Renault's getting it right

Do you need a bit of charging up with some top tier electronic banter? Electrifying.com’s Kilowatt Half Hour podcast is back for another instalment, getting you from 10–80% in just over 38 minutes.

Joining Ginny Buckley to discuss the latest developments from the world of electric vehicles this week is James Batchelor, the Torvill and Dean of electrification.

There’s news, and some reviews including Batch’s drive in a Fiat 600e and Ginny’s recent trip to Germany to check out a new Mercedes, but it’s not all business – Ginny loves the podcast postbag and there were lots of comments on the return of the Kilowatt Half Hour last week. Plus an answer as to how the BYD Atto 3’s boot suddenly got bigger when the car was given a light facelift the other week.

(And if you have a question or comment to be included in the KWHH postbag, incidentally, you can leave your comment on YouTube or send us an email to [email protected].)

This week’s news topics include the Department for Transport monitoring the mobile phone data of electric vehicle drivers without their knowledge to assess EV driver behaviour, the announcement of the World Car Awards finalists (Ginny’s on the jury) ahead of the big announcement in April of which car has won the big title of Car of the Year, and talk of the VAT challenge to the Treasury that could see public charging suddenly get a lot cheaper.

As ever, the Kilowatt Half Hour is available to watch on YouTube (in fact you watch it below) and can be found in all the sensible places you get your podcasts – check out the links and subscribe.
