Mercedes-Benz has opened order books for its new electric GLC, with prices kicking off at £60,350.
The electric GLC, or 'GLC with EQ Technology' to give its proper name, comes in five trim levels but only one battery option.
For £60,350, buyers get the Sport model, which comes with 'Sky Control' panoramic roof – that has nine panels which can switch from clear to opaque – 20-inch alloys, heated seats, wireless phone charging, and LED headlights with Active Highbeam Assist, while the £63,350 AMG Line gets sportier styling and sports seats.
AMG Line Premium, at £68,350, adds illumination for that large new grille, a 'transparent bonnet' (an upgraded 360-degree parking camera that shows what's under the wheels), and MBUX Hyperscreen – a massive 39.1-inch display that stretches across the dashboard.

The rest of the range consists of the £70,850 Premium Plus, which gets Burmester 4D surround sound system and digital LED headlights, and the flagship Premier Edition starts at £73,350. The latter adds a head-up display and an 'illuminated pattern' for the panoramic roof.
All GLCs get the same 94kWh battery pack with dual electric motors. Total power stands at 482bhp, and Mercedes claims a range of up to 406 miles with 330kW DC rapid charging.
The new electric GLC marks a new design direction for the German carmaker, and goes head to head with the new BMW iX3 and Audi's Q6 e-tron.
