Nissan has confirmed pricing and opened orders for the new, electric Nissan Micra. The entry-level Micra Engage is exclusively available with a Standard Range 40kWh LFP battery for a WLTP range of 198 miles, and will cost £22,995 - exactly the same as the entry-level Renault 5, which the Micra shares its platform, batteries and major parts with.
The higher-spec Micra Advance is available with both the 40kWh battery, from £24,995, or the Comfort Range 52kWh NMC battery manages a WLTP range of 260 miles and costs from £26,995.

Nissan has also stated on its public site that it believes the Micra will be eligible for a £1,500 Electric Car Grant (ECG), but that confirmation is still pending from the government’s Office of Zero Emissions. The Japanese manufacturers has stated that it will honour the £1,500 discount itself on orders completed before the end of August 2025, if the Micra does not qualify for the grant.
We’ve finally started to see the government confirming which manufacturers are eligible for the new ECG, with four Citroën models including the ë-C3 now confirmed for the £1,500 grant. None of us in the Electrifying office can see why the Nissan Micra and Renault 5 (which are built at the same factory in France) wouldn’t qualify for the same grant as the Citroëns, and Nissan seems confident, too.

All Micra models get 18-inch alloy wheels, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Google Maps and voice control built-in, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android, and a heat pump to help deliver better winter efficiency. The Micra Advance adds to that with adaptive cruise control, a bigger digital driver’s readout, 48-way ambient interior lighting and more.
