Round the back is the only giveaway. 3.8 is written on the bottom right corner, which is not an efficiency number, not an engine size (which a guy genuinely said to me in Tesco car park…”oh it’s a 3.8 litre is it?”…. Babes, it's electric!), but it's the speed! This thing will do 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds. This is gonna be a dangerous car for me, isn’t it? I’m going to get done speeding aren’t I? Watch this space.
The first drive I did was to drop the car delivery guy to the train station and I may have enjoyed it too much, he did laugh, to be fair, so he seemed to enjoy it. But holy moly this thing can MOVE! Overtaking is a breeze!

I also really like the ride height, as well as the ride comfort itself. I know that most people prefer the higher set of an SUV, these days, but I do love a low slung saloon. At 1460mm to the roofline, the Seal absolutely makes a change to the chunky SUVs i’ve been driving lately, and the seat drops nice and low for a sporty feel. As for the ride itself, it's pretty smooth! Even on 19-inch alloy wheels, the tyre side walls are pretty chunky, which definitely helps for comfort. Happy with that! It takes speed bumps and glides over pot holes like a legend. It's only occasionally that you get a proper thump sensation through the cabin when you hit a particularly ‘Great British’ pothole.
Anyway, stay tuned to find out how I get on with the Seal's real-world range, screen usability and all of that everyday stuff.
