This is a car that has taken over a 100 years to make, and after spending two hours driving it this morning I have to say - it's been worth the wait.

    Ginny Says

“The Spectre is an amazing achievement and is sure to successfully see Rolls Royce propelled electrically for another century. But at this price level you'd expect perfection and the Spectre I tried wasn't quite there.”

    Nicki Says

“I've heard that celebrities who turn up at events in petrol cars are starting to be criticised on social media, so electric cars are an essential accessory for the super-rich. Here's the car which they've been waiting for. ”

Got questions? We've put together the most frequently-asked topics below. If there's something we haven't answered here or in the review then let us know on our contact page

Have there been electric Rolls Royces before the Spectre?

Not officially, no. This is the first, although Charles Rolls predicted they'd be perfect four years before his historic first meeting with Henry Royce in 1900.

What battery and motors does the Rolls Royce Spectre use?

There are two electric motors - front and rear which produce a combined output of 577bhp. They are powered by a 102kWh lithium-ion battery.

What is the range of the Rolls Royce Spectre?

Officially, 329 miles, which the company's research says is more than its customers need. We got closer to 250 though.

How much does the Rolls Royce Spectre cost?

No two Spectres are the same, so the cost will vary depending of what options you choose. But you'll not get out of the showroom without spending less than £350,000. Unless you just pop in for a keyring.

How fast can the Rolls Royce Spectre charge?

Charge times from 10-80% take 34 minutes at a DC fast charger where it can draw a maximum charge rate of 195kW. The company says it expects the majority of its owners to do their charging at home, though.
