Chery’s new off-road themed brand iCaur hasn’t even launched in the UK yet and it’s already revealed a second car that’s set to go on sale in 2027.
Strictly speaking the V25 hasn’t yet been confirmed to go on sale in the UK, but it seems like a no-brainer for the mid-size SUV to help pad out the iCaur range in the country.

iCaur will start sales in the UK in early 2027 with its larger V27 model,
The first glimpse of the new V25 model took place at parent company Chery’s international summit, where it unveiled a whole load of concept cars and new models across its growing portfolio of brands that includes Omoda, Jaecoo and other new brand Lepas.

There’s no proper official information available on the new V25, but we do know that the car is set to be offered with plug-in hybrid and fully electric options.
The plug-in hybrid has been designed to work as a range-extender, using a 1.5-litre petrol engine to provide electricity for the e-motor and charge the 34kWh battery. The electric version of the car apparently has an 80kWh battery.

The styling of the car is certainly distinctive, with shades of Mercedes G-Class and classic Toyota Land Cruiser about the the square silhouette and rounded headlights up front. The tailgate looks like it’s side-mounted, and the brake light repeater in the middle of the spare wheel is a nice touch.
Inside, the car is pleasingly button heavy – and chunky too, appearing to follow the old Land Rover rule that everything should be able to be operated with gloves on.
