Jeep has revealed some updates for its Avenger electric crossover, a car the US carmaker describes as “a true freedom machine”.
It’s an international effort, the Avenger – based on the same Stellantis platform underneath the Peugeot e-2008 and Vauxhall Mokka and built in Poland. It’s been on sale since the beginning of 2023, so the time is ripe for a few tweaks.

There’s an upgraded front end, with new LED headlights and some changes to the front bumpers that make the car look a bit more aggressive. Jeep has also popped some LEDs into its signature front grille for a bit of bling.
You won’t be able to spot it necessarily, but there’s also a new front camera that’s intended to help with parking and offers a 360-degree view for when you’re on manoeuvres.
The wheels have also been redesigned says Jeep, and there are some new exterior paint colours to choose from. All very exciting stuff.
There are some changes inside the car too apparently – changes to the materials to make the Avenger feel a bit fancier – but it mostly looks exactly the same.

Neither have the updates extended to any meaningful changes to the electric powertrain – the Avenger makes do with the same 50.8kWh usable battery and 156hp motor, 100kW rapid charging capability and 248 miles of WLTP range.
Jeep might be known as an off-roading brand, but your only option for four-wheel drive on the Avenger is to go for the plug-in hybrid 4XE version of the car that uses a petrol engine to power the front wheels and an e-motor at the back.
Jeep also says that it’s readying an 85th anniversary special edition of the car to mark the brand’s birthday (pictured here in fact). That car and the rest of the revised trims will be available from late summer.
This is how the new light up grille from Jeep looks. It's no Rolls-Royce Spectre, but it is much cheaper
