Renault has announced a raft of changes for its Scenic electric crossover, including a new 89kWh battery that has boosted the car’s WLTP range to 392 miles.
Other tweaks include exterior styling changes, upgraded interior with a ventilated wireless phone charger and the introduction of Google’s Gemini virtual assistant.

Orders for the revised Scenic opened on 1 October, with prices starting from £33,245 for the French family car after the application of the £3,750 Band 1 electric car grant that the Scenic is entitled to. You can check out the full list of cars that are eligible for the grant here.
Renault says that the new battery has also booted the car’s charging times – it’s knocked nine minutes off a 15–80% juice up, which now needs 28 minutes to complete. That’s 24% off, apparently.
The Scenic will rapid charge at up to 150kW, while 11kW AC charging and battery preconditioning are both standard across the range.

Like with the changes recently announced for the Renault 5 electric hatchback, the Scenic now has a ‘smart’ driving mode that you can leave the car in and it will adapt power delivery and efficiency to your current driving style.
The Scenic E-Tech was voted the European Car of the Year in 2024, but the car industry rarely stands still and the Renault has not had time to rest on its laurels even if the company might be tempted.
Renault is the only carmaker with two cars currently on sale that have been given the prestigious award – the Renault 5 won in 2025.
