What sort of car is the Citroen e-C4 X?
The e-C4 X is the first fully electric car Citroen has launched in the UK (the Ami technically isn’t a car and the normal e-C4 also comes with petrol and diesel power), and Citroen is calling it a car that combines the ‘sleek’ lines of a fastback combined with the stance of an SUV. We’d call it a booted e-C4 hatchback, though
What is the range of the Citroen e-C4 X?
Citroen claims a WLTP-rated range of up to 222 miles – three more than the regular e-C4, presumably on account of the e-C4 X’s more slippery shape, thereby reducing drag. Just over 200 would be a reasonable everyday mileage and less around 180 in colder months
How long is the waiting list for the Citroen e-C4 X?
Order books opened in December 2022 with prices starting at £31,995. Citroen UK says delivery times are around three months for both the e-C4 hatchback and this new e-C4 X
How long does it take to charge the Citroen e-C4 X?
A full charge from a 7kW wallbox will take around 7.5 hours. The e-C4 X can be rapid charged at speeds up to 100kW, meaning an 0-80% charge at the side of the road will take 30 minutes.
What are the rivals of the Citroen e-C4 X?
Put simply, there are none. There are no high-riding electric cars on sale in the UK, so the nearest competition comes from MG with its MG5 estate and other EVs at this price point such as the Volkswagen ID.3 and Nissan Leaf.
