Peugeot has taken the wraps off its new RCZ Vision concept ahead of the Paris motor show. The sporty looking two-seater harks back to the RCZ roadster of the late 2000s and is described by the French carmaker as the “ultimate expression” of its ‘Feline future’ design language.
It has been built on parent company Stellantis’s new STLA One mega platform that’s set to provide the base for most of the company’s output from 2027.

Interestingly, it uses both by-wire tech for the steering and the brakes, which means that both aspects are computer controlled rather than directly connected to the steering wheel and pedals – this is partly how the new platform can be so flexible off one modular design. Peugeot also confirmed at its pre-show event that the new Hypersquare steering wheel and fly-by-wire steering that you can see here in the RCZ, will go on sale in the next-generation Peugeot E-208 in 2027.
The front end shows off the light signature we can expect from the next round of Peugeots to arrive over the coming few years – the company is really leaning into the cat stuff, so this front visual is meant to be like a swipe of cat claws.

The bubble roof is a tribute to the original RCZ, the concept pulled all the way back through the expansive rear glass to provide a bit of extra headroom for rear passengers to enjoy while they’re cooked in direct sunlight.
The interior is intended to give us a hint at the company’s next generation of i-Cockpit layout that still has the instrument panel sitting above a small steering wheel, but here uses Peugeot’s Hypersquare steering wheel and a transparent micro LED display to provide information with a clear view of the road ahead.

How much of that setup might make its way through to eventual production is anyone’s guess, but Peugeot says that it’s ditching the ‘more is more’ approach of rivals to provide a better quality setup. The steering wheel is all production – the company says that it will be on the next-generation E-208 supermini.
There are rear seats in the RCZ Vision, but Peugeot says that it has designed the car to fit four adults so there should be plenty of room for everyone. The rear seat backs also fold down for added luggage space.

Peugeot says that the car has been designed to be efficient – it has a solid state battery of undisclosed capacity that uses a 1,000V system for 10–80% in under 10 minutes. The RCZ concept has 373 miles of range and 500hp.
The company says the car achieves an admittedly entirely theoretical efficiency of 5.4 miles/kWh, which would make for a 69kWh battery pack.
There’s no word yet on how the RCZ Vision will feed through to any production cars beyond the hints at design and things like the E-208 steering wheel.
