Smart has officially confirmed UK prices for its new #5 electric SUV, the brand’s largest and most versatile model to date. The entry-level Pro model starts at £39,800, while the Pro+ begins at £43,800. The Pulse AWD and Premium RWD models are priced from £47,300, and the performance-focused BRABUS variant is £51,800.
The #5 represents the next step in smart’s electric vehicle line-up, following the success of the #1 and #3 models. It is built on an 800-volt EV platform, which allows for fast charging and efficient energy use. The 100kWh battery provides a WLTP range of up to 366 miles, while fast-charging capabilities enable a 10–80% recharge in around 18 minutes. A smaller, 76kWh LFP battery is offered in the entry-level Pro model.
The Pulse variant introduces dual-motor all-wheel drive and multiple off-road modes to adapt to different surfaces, including sand, snow, mud, and rock. The BRABUS model delivers up to 637hp and can accelerate from 0–62 mph in 3.8 seconds, which is a match for EV supercars like the Porsche Taycan.
Inside, the #5 focuses on practicality and usability, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm and overall length of 4,695 mm providing space for passengers and luggage. The rear cargo area can hold up to 1,530 litres, while 34 additional storage compartments and a 72-litre illuminated frunk offer flexibility for everyday use.
The #5 also includes a comprehensive digital and connectivity package, featuring a 25.6-inch AR head-up display, dual 13-inch OLED screens, AI voice assistant called Leo, and EV routing navigation and video streaming. A Sennheiser 20-speaker audio system is included for those seeking a high-quality in-car entertainment experience. Safety and driver assistance systems include Pilot Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, and Highway Assist.
