Citroen’s rivals are in for a shock – the new ë-C5 Aircross prices start from £34,065, That’s more than £10,000 less than most competitors, including the Peugeot e-3008 which shares most of its running gear with the Citroen. The company is also confident it will be eligible for the new Government grant, potentially taking the starting price down to £30,315 – the same as a Ford Puma or Jeep Avenger from the class below.
At launch, only the smaller battery ‘Comfort Range’ version will be available, offering a range of up to 322 miles. There are three trim levels – YOU!, PLUS and MAX.
Later in the year, Citroën will expand the line-up with a 230hp Long Range electric version, offering up to 421 miles of range, and a Plug-In Hybrid, offering an all-electric range of up to 53 miles.

The YOU! has 18-inch alloy wheels, a 13-inch touchscreen with 3D navigation, wireless smartphone charger, and adaptive cruise control. The PLUS adds nicer fabric for the seats, ambient lighting, dark-tinted windows, proximity keyless entry, front parking sensors and 180-degree reversing camera. The range-topping MAX has an extended head-up display, heated front seats and steering wheel, hands-free electric tailgate, and Drive Assist Pack 2.0 with semi-autonomous features and a heat pump for improved winter efficiency.
The cars are assembled in France using batteries which are also made in Europe – which should mean it qualifies for the government’s full grant based on environmental scores.
New ë-C5 Aircross is available to order now via Citroën retailers, with customer deliveries are expected to begin in October 2025.
