Skoda Epiq revealed: full pricing, photos and details

Skoda has revealed its new small EV, and we’ve been to see it! The new Skoda Epiq is a small crossover – the electric equivalent to the Skoda Kamiq, if you will. Or you could call it Skoda’s version of the VW ID.Cross. Or a big VW ID.Polo. You know – any of those descriptions are accurate.

However you want to frame it, you can read the full preview of this compact electric crossover - see more pics and have a proper look around it - right here in our full Skoda Epiq preview

I went to see it at the full reveal, and I have to say that I think it looks very smart. A tad predictable? Maybe boring? Maybe that’s a bit strong, but it’s certainly a very clean, likeable new electric Skoda. And there are definitely some interesting Jeep vibes going on. Rivals like the Kia EV2, Renault 5 and Renault 4 have a bit more to them, style wise, I’d say, although the Epiq is more refined and classy-looking than the Ford Puma Gen-E that it also competes with.

How much will the Skoda Epiq cost, and what’s the range?

The Skoda Epiq SE L 40 starts the range off at £24,950, and that gets you a 135hp electric motor (all Epiq models are front-wheel drive), and a 37kWh LFP battery delivering around 190 miles of WLTP range. Stepping up to the Epiq 55 gets you a 211hp electric motor and a 52kWh NMC battery for a WLTP range of up to 272 miles, with pricing from £27,700 for the SE L trim.

SE L gets standard features including adaptive cruise control, rear parking sensors, 18-inch alloy wheels and LED headlights, but most buyers will probably go for the Edition trim as that gets heated seats, keyless entry, sat-nav, parking camera, 20-inch alloy wheels, vehicle-to-load (V2L) charging and a semi-autonomous drive mode. It’s a £2,750 premium to step up to Edition trim, though, bringing list prices in at £27,700 and £31,450 respectively.

It's likely that both the short range and long range Skoda Epiq will be eligible for the £1,500 electric car grant in the UK, too, but that's yet to be confirmed.

Charging peaks at 90kW in the Epiq 40 or 105kW in the Epiq 55, so that both battery variants will be capable of rapid charging from 10-80% in around 25 minutes in ideal charging conditions. Put another way, the baby Skoda EV is capable of a 100 mile top-up in roughly 35- or 20 minutes respectively.

What are the options on the Skoda Epiq?

Options will include a choice of six colours – with a flat Marble Grey as the standard paint colour. Every Epiq gets the 13-inch central touchscreen system, although you have to step up to Edition to get built-in sat-nav, as the lower-spec SE L relies on wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (meaning that you use the apps on your phone to stream nav directly onto the car’s screen).

There will also be three interior ‘Design Selections’. Loft Grey is the standard option with its grey part-leather upholstery, but having sat in the Skoda Epiq a few times, now, I suspect a lot of buyers will pay the extra for rather lovely Loft Mint interior. This brings a brighter interior with flashes of green fabric, or Suite brings brown leatherette and microsuede. Don’t disregard a brown interior… It sounds odd, but it really does look cool.

When I went for a drive in a prototype Skoda Epiq 55 earlier in 2026, and had a sneaky early look at the uncovered car, the thing that really struck me was how grown-up it feels. You could definitely live with this as a daily driver even if you do a lot of miles, so don’t go thinking that it’s something you should only consider if you want a more suburban-oriented EV. In fact, I suspect that a top-spec Epiq 55 Edition could be a convincing alternative to lower-spec but bigger rivals like the Kia EV3 and Skoda Elroq.

When does the Skoda Epiq go on sale?

UK orders open for the new Skoda Elroq 55 in July 2026, while the smaller battery Epiq 40 arrives later this year.

What do you think? The new Skoda Elroq is on price parity with the equivalent petrol model – the Skoda Kamiq – so it really does seem like good value. Would you have it over the VW ID.Cross, or could it tempt you out of an Elroq or EV3?
