Kia has announced that the seven-seat version of its PV5 Passenger electric MPV is now available to order.
The new seven-seater will arrive alongside ‘Model Year 2027’ upgrades across the whole PV5 range including a new top spec trim level.
The PV5 Passenger 7-seat has a ‘2-2-3’ seating arrangement for maximum practicality, with the middle two seats arranged to the side to aid access to the back row.

Kia also says that the new variant offers 318 litres of space in the boot with all the seats up, which increases to 785 litres with the third row folded down.
We’ve driven the five-seater version of the PV5 and were impressed by the flat floor enabled by Kia’s E-GMP.S platform that has been designed to facilitate a whole raft of different configurations of the vehicle, including various vans, campers and passenger versions.
Kia UK hasn’t decided what future variants of the PV5 and upcoming PV7 it will bring to the UK – the camper versions are possibilities, for example, but we’re told that UK buyers are very particular about how they like their holiday wagons configured.
A factory built wheelchair accessible version of the PV5 is definitely is on the way, and will be available to order shortly having recently made its UK debut at the Motability show in Birmingham.

Kia says that the PV5 Passenger 7-seat will offer over 242 miles of WLTP range, but the final figure has not yet been established as the MPV hasn’t undergone EU homologation.
The 5-seat model is offered with a 51.5kWh battery and a longer range 71.2kWh version, but the 7-seat will just come with the bigger battery. Kia says it’ll charge at a peak rate of 150kW to get from 10–80% charge in under 30 minutes.
As well as the new 7-seat, all PV5s will benefit from some tweaks for the 2027 model year version of the car, including a new armrest, walk away locking and a flatter radio antenna to keep the PV5 under 1.9 metres tall.
The PV5 also gets a new third trim level that will sit at the top of the range – complementing Essential and Plus trims is Elite, which adds electric sliding doors, ventilated front seats, fancier paint and upgraded safety kit.
The Elite trim will cost from £39,675 including the £1,500 Band 2 electric car grant. All models now come with heat pumps as standard.
It hasn’t been announced yet whether the PV5 7-seat version will get the ECG, so prices start at £36,995 for the Essential version of the car, rising to £40,275 for the Plus model and £41,975 for the Elite version. This represents a £2,300 premium over the 5-seat model including the grant.
The upgraded five-seater version and new seven-seater are available to order from Kia now, but production of the MY27 PV5 doesn’t start until July says Kia, with deliveries expecting around October.
